Welcome Back!
Thank you for being here and for your continued support. I’m thrilled to share that my book, Girl, Groomed: A Therapist’s Memoir of Trauma, officially launched on April 22!
I’m especially grateful to everyone who showed up to the launch events—your presence, energy, and encouragement meant the world to me.
In these newsletters, I’ll continue to offer behind-the-scenes moments, personal reflections, and insights into this journey—because the story doesn’t end with the book launch. There’s so much more to explore together.
Healing through Movement: Reflections on Carol’s Book Launch & Birthday Bash
I was asked,
“Why host a dance party for your book launch when your memoir is about trauma?”
I say, what better way to infuse joy into our lives than combining all the life-affirming elements in one moment—music, dance, and community.
All of our nervous systems are under siege with the upheaval and uncertainty in our country right now, adding to the other forms of trauma that we all carry as humans in this world that inevitably includes suffering.
This is often experienced in isolation and can get lodged in our bodies—so one important antidote is movement and connection with others.
“We literally embody our agency when we walk, run, play, dance…together.”
With this agency, we reclaim our rightful power.
📩 Stay tuned!
There’s more behind-the-book insight and personal reflections coming in the next few newsletters.

Can I simply say what a relief to find somebody who actually is aware of what theyre talking about on the internet. You positively know how you can bring a difficulty to mild and make it important. More people have to learn this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more standard because you undoubtedly have the gift.
I’ve been browsing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.
I also believe so , perfectly written post! .
You actually make it appear so easy with your presentation but I in finding this topic to be actually one thing which I believe I might never understand. It sort of feels too complicated and very vast for me. I’m taking a look ahead to your subsequent post, I’ll attempt to get the hang of it!
I cling on to listening to the news broadcast lecture about getting free online grant applications so I have been looking around for the top site to get one. Could you advise me please, where could i get some?
As soon as I found this site I went on reddit to share some of the love with them.
It is appropriate time to make some plans for the future and it’s time to be happy. I have read this post and if I could I want to suggest you few interesting things or tips. Perhaps you can write next articles referring to this article. I desire to read more things about it!
This is the appropriate weblog for anybody who needs to search out out about this topic. You understand a lot its nearly onerous to argue with you (not that I truly would want…HaHa). You undoubtedly put a brand new spin on a topic thats been written about for years. Great stuff, simply great!
Very fantastic info can be found on web blog.
Hi there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m having a tough time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
Hi there — site designer here! Happy to share.
The site is built on WordPress, but with a custom layout rather than a traditional blog template. We intentionally designed it to support long-form storytelling and resources, which is why it looks a bit different from most blogs.
WordPress was chosen for its flexibility and scalability, but platforms like Drupal or b2evolution can also be strong options depending on your goals and comfort level.
Best of luck with starting your blog — it’s always exciting to see new projects take shape.
